Suggest me a book similar to Attack on Titan (humanity versus as unstoppable force)

I really enjoyed the inevitable sadness and horror of the world parallelled by humanity's will to persevere and hope in Attack on Titan.

My favorite books tend to be dystopians and I'd love more recommendations either this vibe. I have read most of the classics so bonus points for anything published post 2015.

Just a heads up, I strongly disliked The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
