I've heard of some books like The Culture, which does take place in a utopia, but it still uses war and fighting as it's main points. Are there any books that take place in a utopia type state that focus more on character and world building rather than combat? Most "utopia" books that I seem to read about take place more in a dystopia with some hidden evil that's being covered up or something. Basically I'm just looking for a feel-good type story with good characters and without any actual fighting.

The Host by Stephanie Meyer takes place on an earth where the aliens have already won the invasion and turned the planet into a communistic utopia. The main character is different because she has both human and alien personalities in her body instead of just one.
Cetaganda has the main characters on a diplomatic mission to attend a funeral on a planet that is focused on art and genetic engineering, except they get mixed up in a bunch of mysteries and conspiracies instead
