Im slowly getting interested into Russian Literature. My mom says they are very complicated, that I wont like it, but you never know. So reccomened me your favorite Russian Literature or some that I should start with.
If you are looking for an entryway into it, I think Gogol’s short stories with annotations will help you determine if Russian lit is something you’ll like.

I was mesmerised by Nina Berberova’s The Accompanist as a teenager.
It’s not very famous, but it’s short, accessible and doesn’t have a huge person gallery in case you want to start out a little light.
