Apocalyptic Type Book Suggestions?

I’ve recently been getting into a small Terminator phase and I’ve been looking for a book to read as a past time too, does anyone by chance know a book that is similar in environment/plot to look into? I’m a fan of the setting of an apocalyptic scene, I tend to read war books and am a fan of doomsday-like zombie based movies like I Am Legend and such if that helps
