Just finished reading Foe, by Iain Reid. Really immersive and thought provoking. A psychological thriller/horror novel. The book is extremely lean, has no filler or bs. It's one of the biggest page turners I've ever read. It's a great example of an inexperience you can only have with a book. Getting inside the minds of these characters, what they're feeling and experiencing. It has you wondering what the hell is going on almost the entire book. Wondering why characters are acting the way they're acting, saying what they're saying. This book has some of the better twists I've experienced in quite some time.
"Foe is set in the near future. About a married couple living on a remote farm, whose lives are thrown in turmoil when a stranger arrives."
