I read Blue Sisters last month and I adored it. I'm now halfway through Private Rites and I'm once again loving the themes of sisterhood and dysfunctional family dynamics, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest more books like these two.

I couldn't get into Hello Beautiful, so that's not an option for me. I suppose I'd also enjoy reading about siblings in general, as long as the book revolves around a large group of them, possibly with three or more different POVs. Thank you in advance!

    1. The seven sisters by Lucinda Riley. Each book focuses on one of the sisters and her history. I wouldn’t say the family is dysfunctional per se, there’s a good amount of secrets and contradictions/inconsistencies in specific dynamics tho (not trying to spoil anything).

Another one would be The glass castle by Jeanette Walls. A lot of dysfunctionality there lmao. It’s an autobiography and she went through a lot of shit with her two or three siblings.

    2. *Threads That Bind* / *Hearts that Cut* by Kika Hatzopoulou is a fantasy / mystery duology that revolves around a trio of sisters and features many more groups of siblings (as siblinghood is part of the book’s magic system). The protagonist is the youngest and was raised by her sisters, and her deep but messed-up relationship to them is believable and heartbreaking. If you want sisterhood and dysfunctional family dynamics, these books are for you!

Queens of Innis Lear. A spinoff of Shakespeare’s King Lear that follows all three sisters. Fantastic book. Multiple points of view. Low key obsessed. Highly recommend.
