Hi all, looking for suggestions for what to pick for my next book club pick. We rotate selections and my turn is coming up and I'm just getting stuck. We do a mix of fiction and nonfiction (I'm leaning fiction for this round because the book before me was nonfiction) and the picks are generally catnip for a bunch of liberal ladies in their 30s (I don't mean this disparagingly because I love this book club and our choices, but it's just the best generalization for the types of books we pick lol). I generally like to pick books that would be available in our library system or on paperback, so they can be current but not TOO current. I also try to keep the page count under 400 if possible, but if it's a fast read I can go higher than that. What have you read recently that might fit this bill? Thanks in advance for your help! A few of my favorite books from this book club are listed below as reference!
- Maps of Our Spectacular Bodies
- Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men
- Empire of Pain
- The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida
