What should I read after the Red Rising saga with good character development. characters I can actually care about

I’m about to finish light bringer (book 6 of the saga) and I’m so in love with how Pierce Brown creates his characters. Somehow you find yourself caring for all of them, even the villains, and it’s a true skill because the characters in these books are in abundance. I’d really like to find another book with characters that draw you in the same way, that you fell like they walk beside you while you read their tales.
I’m looking for my next read. The genre doesn’t really matter though I usually tend towards the sci-fi/ dystopian. Good prose is a bonus, prefer fast paced plots.

I read DCC, Bobiverse and Andy Weir’s books and loved all of them.
