The last few books I read were extremely heavy in terms of themes and subjects they were dealing with and while each and every one of those were phenomenal, I just want something that won't make me think or disturb me or have an emotional impact on me (unless it is making me happy).
No YA or fantasy or smut.
I would love an unputdownable crime thriller or mystery (I don't mind plot holes or predictable story lines) or a cliched, cutesy romance. Preferably a contemporary storyline.

Ever read the Robert Langdon series? Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, etc….? They were really popular about 20 years ago as they are really easy to read and they have the hint of mystery and thriller that people like to escape into. They shouldn’t feel dated as they had a tiny hint of the more advanced technology that we have today.
