i just got done reading paradise rot by jenny hval and it scratched an itch i didn't know i have. i'm looking for books that are gross in the most literal sense of the word – less graphic gore/violence and more mold and pus and general dampness. the kind of read that makes you want to take a shower. anything atmospheric straight to the top, i really want to read something set in a hoarder house.
