I'm someone who has always read mysteries. For the most part, they are simple to follow as a lot of them have few characters and are mostly plot-driven rather than in-depth character analyses.
However, I've been wanting to get more into fantasy and what better way to do it than wanting to jump into The Way of Kings lol. My one hold up though has been the fear of following along and really retaining all of the details. I find this especially daunting considering it's a series and I feel it'd be best to commit myself to all of the books in a row.
So, do a lot of you fantasy readers take notes? Does anyone have suggestions or advice?
