I'm a school librarian and my students LOVE The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy – my problem is that it's not available in our language anymore (really strange) and I'm having the same problem with Pratchett. I can find books in english, but not in Swedish. yay. So I'm looking for something published after 2000/2010 or something REALLY popular.

Basically: scifi or fantasy, easy to read, maybe funny but at least not super serious.
prefer: shorter books??
I've looked through a few other threads with similar requests of Adams/Pratchett buuut I guess I'm looking more mainstream and nothing obscure. I should be able to find it in a generic online bookstore.
