I hope this isn’t too odd of a request; everyone imagines a slightly different setting while reading, so I’m sure the results of this will be varied. Any genre is welcomed, I just really enjoy a book where the author makes an effort to convey the vibes and emotions associated with something entirely visual through their writing.
Books that gave me liminal vibes were Mister Magic by Kiersten White (characters staying in the all-white house, the house itself being in the middle of the desert and the way the lead up to it was described, the set of the Mister Magic show) and Piranesi (winding labyrinths reminiscent of the pools images, but classier with the marble statuary.)
