I've recently learned that a lot of people don't read the blurb, description or anything about the book before reading it.
I'm the opposite, I like to know a lot about the book before I decide if it's the sort of thing I want to read. The exception might be if it's an author I love, so I would pick up and read anything from them.
Which way do you tend to go, and why? Does it depend on the genre you're reading? How do you find recommendations without spoilers?
