Hi! I'm getting my MA, and all the books I have are too deep for me to read at the moment. I'm looking to get lost in a book that would be easy to read but still have a good plot and be character-driven. Recent books I've read that were easy for me and enjoyable include Natural Beauty, Pachinko and Yellowface.
Looking to avoid scrolling with reading but something that is relaxing and not more work

Violeta by Isabel Allende is easy to read and the characters are delineated well
Uprooted by Naomi Novik has great characters and plot
Anything by Agatha Christie will be easy to read and have a good plot. If you have access to your university’s library, I’m sure the english department will be well-stocked with Christie.
