I found almost every Aladdin retelling I googled was mostly similar to the Disney story. I would like to read a Aladdin story closer to the original Arabian nights version as well.
Edit: Actually I'm fine with any retelling that is different from the disney version. I have read so many retellings that are only reduced to the love story so wanted something different.

I havent read it yet, but it’s on my list- The Jinn-Bot of Shantiport by Samit Basu. It was described to me as having vibes like a mash up of Aladdin and murder-bot. It is sci-fi.
Not sure if that is going to be what you’re looking for, but it’s what first popped in my mind.
