Suggest me a short to mid length novel for the fall

I want to stack up my TBR with short to mid length novels and I’m looking for anything that features the following ( or something similar you think I would like ) :

• haunted houses

• ghosts

• tragic romances/revenge

• gothic

• gothic & gory?

• slashers/horror/grotesque

• vampires

• creature feature

I’m looking for great writing and pacing, and more modern novels
