Recently I've become interested in learning more about the mass hysteria outbreaks that plagued the middle ages. I was hoping to find a book written in essay format that goes over these various phenomenons, preferably something that's written with the aim of understanding these phenomenon in a deeper aspect, rather than just re-telling the tails.
