Give me a book that is not main stream.

Whenever I ask my friends for books, all i get is the same thing.
I'm 14, whenever I ask my friends. They say something along the lines of
"Read Percy Jackson, Its really blah blah blah. "
"Dan Brown"
"Agatha Christie"
I want something new, something good!
