I've really been enjoying the adventurous nature of these Krakauer books. Surprising since I've never been super into non-fiction. I was thinking about reading Under The Banner of Heaven next, but was wondering if anyone has similar recommendations because I particularly loved the firsthand accounts of something crazy like climbing Everest.
Thanks in advance!

Read, The Wager, written by Grann. True life adventure on the high seas. Incredible story.
Under the Banner of Heaven is a lot different, but I loved it. If you liked those other 2, I would bet you’d like it.
But along the same lines of outdoorsy non-fiction, A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson is a great one.
I know it is not the same but if you are interested in mind boggling stories of survival in insanely dangerous inhospitable places check out
Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage

My most recommended book and an amazing read that ignited my voracious appetite for books about Arctic and Antarctic exploration.
I loved Into Thin Air and wasn’t crazy about Under the Banner of Heaven. Have you read any of Hampton Sides books? My favourite is In The Kingdom of Ice.
I love all of Krakauer’s books. He’s a true homie to women for writing Under the Banner of Heaven and Missoula.
I really enjoyed No Way Down. About a K2 summit going terribly wrong.
