What’s a book you stumbled on, that doesn’t fit any genre, and you never read one like it since?
What are the most interesting or bizarre or curious or awesome books you happened to read, but it doesn’t belong to any specific genre (a literary nomad, if you will), and you’ve been hard-pressed to find another book like it?

Tristram Shandy
Stephen King’s The Shadow Saga
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. I’m unsure what genre it was, some sort of Fantasy I suppose.
The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall
The Hike by Drew Magary
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
Earthlings by Sayaka Murata
If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino
These are all bizarre in different ways but I enjoyed them all!
