Books with MC parenting an otherworldly being

This request is a bit weird and I don’t think it’s been asked for before, but usually when I watch a supernatural kind of tv series I love the relationship between the parent and the supernatural son/daughter but we barely get to see much of it. So I’m looking for a book that has it as the main theme instead!
