To clarify, a romantic subplot is acceptable if it doesn’t overshadow the main story, and some elements of unrealism or speculative fiction like altered history, dystopia, or steampunk are also acceptable. But I don’t want NSFW scenes or people with special abilities. I’m also not the biggest fan of sci-fi. Gang or mafia angle welcomed but not required. I also really like noir and gritty aesthetics. Not sure if what I’m looking for exists out there, but let me know if anyone has any suggestions!
