It's a bit of a niche request, I know, but I love reading biographies or fiction about eccentric and often trail-blazing people, such as the Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven (an absolute character if there ever was one, one of the main folks in the Dada art movement) for instance, or Joshua Norton, the self-proclaimed "Emperor of the United States" who was a beloved celebrity in his native city of San Francisco- he even had his own currency and would issue "imperial decrees."
So- if you have any recommendations of a biography or a historical fiction book written about intriguing eccentric figures of history, I'm all ears.
