I have two sons who are 13 and 11 and both my husband and I have always read to them, every single night since they were born or almost. We are keen on this little but important family tradition because we’re both readers and, hopefully, the boys have also become ones. They have immensely enjoyed classics such as the Harry Potter saga, Watership Down, and Calvino Regional Fables (this a little earlier in time). My husband read them One Thousand and One Nights, and some Verne. Now I’ve come to a halt and find more difficult to find literature that is both light and profound, so to speak. Is there anyone who could recommend something?
Thank you!
