I'm such a big fan of popular romance movies that my favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice 2005. I've tried reading many modern romances and I end up hating most of them because (to me) the characters feel flat and the romance is simple. I yearn for good romance books and am still searching. Please help me! The book doesn't have to be under the "romance" genre, but I would like something where the relationship between the 2 people is central to their personal development and plot development. If it helps, my favorite romance I've ever read is Persuasion by Jane Austen.
