Yuppie Nightmare Cycle

I love so called “yuppie nightmare cycle” movies like After Hours, Into the Night, Something Wild, etc that usually involve a man in his 20-30s being taken on a wild, crazy adventure through a big city over the course of a day or two. If anyone knows of any books with this type of plot/vibe I would love some recommendations.
