I'm not even a big crime fiction fan. (I'm really really not, so please don't think that's a required criteria.) But I cannot put his books down. Short, exciting chapters. Sympathetic quirky characters a must. Plot plot plot leading to an exciting conclusion.
They really remind me of a set of books from a completely different genre – the scholomance series by Naomi Novik.
