When I was 30, finally done with my doctorate and setting out, I desperately needed to thin my books down, and that included the entire Redwall Series in hardback. I figured I was never having kids or going to want to read them again, so it didn't matter.
Had my boys at 38 and 39 and deeply regret not having those books any more
