When I was in school I used to love books like Artemis Fowl, Sea of Trolls, The 7th Tower, Shades Children, etc… I'm older now so may not quite have the same tastes, but still love medieval-fantasy and dystopian/sci-fi genres.
It's been years since I've read so any suggestions are appreciated!
