War is so useless. I hate it. Soldiers just doesnt rlly have nothing to do with it. They became animated objects used to become a weapon!!!
When Paul Baumer says they’re only twenty and haven’t lived their life to actually have something to hold onto while battling in thw western front. It just got me. Got me good.
Their youth had been stolen. They haven’t fall in love. Hey haven’t mer lots of people. They haven’t spent much time with their loved ones at 20. So annoying!!!
This book also made me watched 8 hrs worth of documentaries of world war 1 and 2 plus cold war just becos i need a broader context. And damn right. I got even angrier. I spent my rest day today being angry at wars 😖
And guess what!!! Germany didn’t gain anything from the world war 1. Their country got so fucking economically bad and they’re citizen were hungry!!!
Good gracious. Then we got ww2! Hmp!! And then I just finished The Book Thief.
Also now my fave genre is historical fiction. :))
