I can't remember the name of this book for the life of me. The cover had a plain whit background, and in front was a large heart made of string with the title inside, I believe. The beginning took place in a hospital where this little girl is either a patient or she's waiting for her mom who is the patient. She meets a little boy there who is a patient as well and they become friends. We get a time skip to when they're adults and they're both living their lives separately. I wish I could remember more of the plot or even the author, but I can't.
