Hello all. I’ll try to keep it as brief as I can:

    \- I’m 20, I’ve had a rough life.

\- Born and raised in London, lost my mother who I loved deeply at age 7.

\- Bullied a lot in secondary school.

\- Went to University for Computer Science but dropped out a week ago during 2nd year after some very bad social interactions with people who treated me poorly and eventually abandoned me.

\- Been to therapy for just over a year.

\- I love art and design and will be starting it next year but currently have an entire year free, though I’m currently very depressed.

    \- Low Self Esteem.

Any books you think might resonate with someone that’s had a life like mine would be very helpful, bonus points if it has anaudible audiobook.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is about a woman in her 30s, her life, and what she has gone through. Some heavy stuff but also lighthearted moments.

I would recommend “The Cat Who Saved Books” by Sosuke Natsukawa, or “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro. I read both when I was going through some personal issues related to mental health and they helped in some ways. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them!

    3. Maybe The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne? The book is both funny and heavy in equal parts but I ultimately found it to be a very heartwarming and impactful read 🙂
