Hi all, I'm going away for a few days and badly need a couple of books to keep me company to keep the blues away. My attention span is shot to hell now, so it needs to be very, very gripping.
Some books that I've found gripping in the past and could not put down: Gone girl, The Martian, Project Hail Mary, some Hercule Poirot mysteries. I'm not fussed about the genre (except no horror please).
Books I was told were gripping but did not enjoy: The silent patient, seven husbands of Evelyn something.
