A book about deep, emotional friendship and loyalty? I want to have all the emotions

I have a craving to read about genuine loving friendship, and finding inner strength amid hardships/suffering to stay loyal to your friend. Much preferably a classic?

I’m on an obsessive Gothic and Victorian thing, which is apparently permanent. But probably too much to ask for that too…
