What are some books written by non-english speakers, that have been translated to English that you believe should be more well known?
Say for example books like One Hundred Years of Solitude or The House for Mr. Biswas ( It is in English but characters speak Creole)
Having an English translation isn't necessary, but the only other languages I can read are French and Spanish. I'm just looking to expand the types of settings and cultures I read about.
