A cookbook that’s more than a cookbook?

Not sure how to word this, but I recently picked up “The Tex-Mex Cookbook: A History in Recipes and Photos” by Robb Walsh.

I’ve ended up just reading through it like a regular book because it’s so interesting.

Are there any other cookbooks like this that you all know of? I guess a history book and a cookbook combined?
