I can't remember the title but the beginning of the story goes: A Prince was riding with his friends to confront a man, and then the scene takes to the man's 2 daughters. The main protagonist, from my memory, in one scene had stated he liked the quieter girl rather than the pompous loud girl and then after killing the man he burned the house with the 2 daughters in it.
I think he was together with his friends, this may sound like an odd plot but I can't remember the whole beginning properly. I remember it being a book with a morally grey protagonist. Would appreciate any book connoisseur's assistance.
