Literary fiction with female protagonist who is reprehensible and in no way agreeable to the viewer

I really liked circe from game of thrones and Humbert Humbert from Lolita. Is there literary fiction equivalent where the female protagonist is utterly detest able?

Preferably nothing relating to affairs. I find the subject of affairs and navigating romantic relationships dull.
