- domestic thriller
- a female protagonist obsessed with a man who is just… despicable in every way
- has a woman locked up upstairs or in the attic
- unreliable narrator
- protagonist who’s an alcoholic or takes drugs/medications
- characters who have gone missing/unsolved missing case
I just need something a little different. I prefer a female protagonist but it’s not a dealbreaker.
