Romance books not for general audience

I'm looking for romance novels with a twist. Unusual storytelling, seriously flawed characters, unexpected events etc. I want something original and self-aware lacking or even making fun of the clichés of the genre. I want something that makes me gasp, that makes me go "yo this is not okay".
