My friend (30F) mentioned wanting to read more for leisure, so I thought about giving her a book as a birthday gift. She reads a lot for work (she's a psychologist) and feels guilty about spending time on leisure reading, though she wishes she didn’t. A book she recently enjoyed was The Midnight Library. She didn’t really like My Brilliant Friend and found it too long, especially since it has three sequels. Some extra info: one of her favorite movies is La La Land, and she loves her dogs very much.
