In a bit of a reading slump – suggest me something that gets you immediately hooked

Basically what the title says. I tend to read more sci-fi/fantasy books but I'm also open to most fiction. The last couple of books I read felt to me like they were dragging, a little too much of a slow burn. I would ideally like my next read to be a bit more fast paced.
