A few years ago, I read Anxious People by Frederik Backman, and it changed my brain chemistry forever. Any suggestions for something like it?

      oooooo I LOVE this book

**Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin** and **Family Family by Laurie Frankel** are stories with many intertwining characters who want good things for each other. These stories also span many years.

**Beartown by Fredrik Backman** and **Britt-Marie Was Here by Fredrik Backman** are both by the same author as Anxious People, and I love his writing style. Beartown has some of my favorite literary characters of all time.

**The Guncle by Stephen Rowley** and **The Museum of Ordinary People by Mike Gayle** are unique stories about people brought together by grief.

**The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster** is a children’s novel written in whimsical prose that reminds me of parts of Anxious People. (Specifically the monkey/frog/robber parts of the narration)

**The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella** is what I imagine Anxious People rewritten as a rom-com would be. Most of the story takes place at a hotel full of kooky staff members that reminded me of the banter from Anxious People (think about the money-less bank). I think the main character also has a funny internal dialogue; I enjoyed being in her head. The audiobook version is LOVELY.
