I am looking for some books about queer representation. My preferred genre would be sci-fi/fantasy action. Though I don’t mind a romance subplot. But definitely no spice though.

    1. She who became the sun & he who drowned the world is a fantastic fantasy duology with queer characters, includes a f/f and m/m romance subplot.

The raven tower is fantasy with a trans main character, no romance, the queerness is mostly irrelevant to the plot.

The teras trials is dark fantasy with a m/m subplot romance.

An unkindness of ghosts is scifi with two nonbinary characters, includes a romantic subplot between them.

A master of djinn is historical fantasy with a lesbian main character.

Cosmoknights is a comic, available both for free online and as published books, with a queer main cast. Very fun worldbuilding

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells fit this very well. It is sci-fi with action, and the main character is ace spectrum and non-binary, the friends they make along their journey range all across the spectrums of both gender identity and sexuality, but none of that is the focus. They’re so fun!
