I am not a reader, but I want to get a book for my girlfriend as a surprise. I want to make sure she will like it, obviously.
Can anyone suggest books similar to ones she likes?
She likes:

Carmilla,
Lapvona,
and Paradise Rot.
She describes her favorite genres as "weird messed up books but not horror, or romance that's devastating with minimal smut."
