As the title says. Heres a challenge, book redditors: What would you buy someone who ctitiques books for a living? He has very strong opinions about certain books so I don't want to buy something he'd never read.
Context on books he likes:
- Penguin Books Australia (all he said about them is that they are amazing but he didn't like Perfume Murder)
- favourite book is Brighton Rock by Grahm Greene
- George Orwell's Animal Farm (Classic)
- another favourite is Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan

I was thinking Black Man by Richard Morgan cus it seems like other people who liked Altered Carbon as much as he did also liked it, but I'm not sure. Feel free to recommend anything or suggest genres or authors etc. Advice on how to know if he would like a book might be helpful too if you can.
