Hi all! My boyfriend is trying to get into reading, but he's having a hard time crossing that line from forcing yourself to read a few pages every night to craving it.
I wanted to get him a few books that are so good you stay up until 4 in the morning and say oh shit I have work in 3 hours but keep reading anyway.
He's your basic white dude. He's into the gym but not dieting or eating anything green, likes football but I'm pretty sure it's the drinking at 10am that gets him there, plays league of legends daily and says thinks like, "I need to get a game in". Oh, and he's a full fledged conspiracy theorist, but I think it's become less ironic.
I got him 11.22.63 by Stephen King, but I think he needs to be hooked on reading before diving in. Trying to get him to read Girl on the Train, but I think the title turns him off.
Thank you!!

I have alot of fantasy recs but w/out knowing his preference, it’s hard to narrow those down.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch – a very fast paced page turner
Dungeon Crawler Carl. Books are like crack, there’s 7 of them now. They are so easy to read and definitely fun for someone who is a conspiracy theorist.
Try {{the shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne}} – it’s an easy read, thoroughly researched, and FUN. Like I enjoyed it waaaay more than I expected to.
Red Rising series by Pierce Brown
Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
