She enjoys “depressing/hardship/coming of age” drama books that my gf jokingly refers to as “poor/war children” books.
I got her Kite Runner last year and she enjoyed it, but since these kinds of books are not really my thing, I’m not sure what to give her this year. Any thoughts?
PS: she studied english literature at uni so I’m assuming she already read the classics like Dickens
