Can anyone recommend a good book about Native American history, specifically in the northeast of North America. The Hurons, Iroquois, Mohawks,etc..
I am currently reading The Battle for North America, by Francis Parkman. Now looking forward to hearing something more focused on the indigenous people here, vs. European settlers.
Thanks!

Native Nations, Kathleen DuVall.
Masters of Empire, Michael A McDonnell
Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, by Dee Brown
An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz
The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee by David Treuer
It’s not directly about the indigenous population, but “the company” about the origin and 400 year history of the Hudson Bay company was very interesting. There are maps and talk about different tribes and the different regions where they were located.
